The quaint idea that college athletes need to stick to amateurism is quaint. Especially since we allow their coaches to fail and walk away with enough to start a small country in buyout cash.
I like to hit the gym, to swim, walk, lift weights and such, usually around the same time, 3-4 days per week. I enjoy the challenge, and I often see the same group of people coming in to push themselves too. We start chatting between sets, or while racking up, all the while developing tiny friendships.
